Mold Preventative Coatings for New Home Builds

New homes and builds are a significant investment that are expected to last for decades if not centuries.  During the build process structural building materials are exposed to moisture, dirt, airbourne spores and other contaminants which can cause mold, mildew and microbial growth.  We use a long lasting antimicrobial coating that prevents the growth of mold and microbial contamination on the structural materials of your new build.

When is It Applied

We apply the mold resistant coating to the structural materials (wood, concrete, metal) once the following is complete;

-  Framing

-  Exterior Envelope

-  Windows

-  Doors

-  Roof Trusses and Decking

-  Subfloor

The application is applied before insulation and vapour barrier is installed.

Application Process

Once the building is ready for application we use a three stage process to ensure we get even and complete coverage in even the most hard to reach areas of the building.

Step 1:  Inspect the existing structure for visible mold.  If any is found we eliminate it.

Step 2:  Apply an antimicrobial agent that both eliminates and prevents mold, bacteria and microbial contamination.

Step 3:  Apply a long lasting mold and mildew resistant coating that will last for decades.
